Operating System and Hardware

I am an Apple Mac user running OS X (Tiger) on a 20" iMac G5.

Programming and Image manipulation

When I'm writing HTML/XHTML or CSS I use BBEdit. To upload these files I use Transmit. And for image manipulation or page layouts I use Adobe Photoshop.

I also have limited knowledge of:

Stability

I do extensive testing when building sites, to make sure all pages maintain consistent layout and style across a wide range of browsers and platforms.

Validation and conformance to W3C Recommendations and other standards

My sites currently use valid HTML (4.01 Transitional) or XHTML (1.0 Transitional/Strict) and CSS 2.0. All pages and CSS files within my sites are checked and validated using W3C's online HTML and CSS Validators.

Web Standards - The Future

The future of web development is based on W3C standards, which are moving towards CSS and XHTML. The aim is to separate style (look, appearance, colours, fonts, layout) from content.

Accesskeys

  • s - Skip to content
  • h - Homepage
  • 1 - About
  • 2 - Portfolio
  • 3 - Skills
  • 4 - Employment
  • 5 - Education
  • 6 - Contact
  • 7 - Sitemap
  • 8 - Accessibility

So how do I use them?

For Windows users you hold down ALT key and press the relevant accesskey, then press the enter key. Mac users hold down CTRL key and press the relevant accesskey key. Try it!
